Capprec - AGM results and name change
The annual general meeting of Capital Appreciation Ltd. ("AXX") was held virtually on 3 September 2025, with 65.83% of voting shares represented. Shareholders approved all resolutions, including the appointment of directors S Douwenga, M Shapiro, K Dlamini, and VM Sekese, with voting majorities mostly at 99% or higher.
The re-election of existing directors and approval of key resolutions such as the issuance of shares for cash, remuneration policies, and the appointment of auditors received strong support.
Notably, shareholders approved the change of company name from "Capital Appreciation Ltd." to "Araxi Ltd.," with the finalisation announcement expected on 18 September 2025. The name change will be effective from 1 October 2025, with dematerialised shareholders' accounts updated by 6 October 2025. The company will remain listed on the JSE in the Technology – Software & Computer Services sector.
