Nature of Business
Growthpoint is the largest South African (SA) primary JSE-listed REIT with a quality portfolio of 453 (FY25: 475) properties across four major business units:
*Directly held – SA portfolio
*Offshore investments
*V&A Waterfront – Access to South Africa’s iconic crown-jewel precinct
*Third-party fund management business – Growthpoint Investment Partners (GIP)
The SA business, with total property assets of R65.6bn (FY25: R66.7bn), is diversified across the Retail, Office, Logistics and Industrial, and Trading and Development (T&D) sectors, located in economic nodes in the major metropolitan areas of the country. It also includes a 50% (FY25: 50%) investment in the V&A Waterfront (V&A), which is a mixed-use precinct in Cape Town. The T&D sector develops properties for our own balance sheet as well as for third parties.
