Tharisa is an integrated resource group playing a pivotal role in the global energy transition and the decarbonisation of economies. Leveraging innovation and technology, Tharisa covers the entire value chain – exploration, mining, processing, beneficiation, marketing, sales and logistics – for platinum group metals (PGMs) and chrome concentrates.
Tharisa's core asset, Tharisa Minerals, is located in South Africa’s Bushveld Complex, the largest source of PGMs and chrome globally, and produces PGMs and chrome concentrates through a mechanised open-pit operation with a transition to innovative mechanised underground bord and pillar mining well underway. Production is supported by three processing plants: Genesis, Voyager and the Vulcan Complex, the world’s largest chrome fines processor
