EU COPPER CONCENTRATE INVESTIGATION CLOSURE
In May 2003 BHP Billiton announced that the European Commission (Competition
Directorate-General) had served notice on it to submit to an investigation in
relation to the copper concentrate market.
BHP Billiton has now been advised that the European Commission has closed its
investigation in relation to copper concentrate. No adverse findings have been
made in this matter by the Commission.
BHP Billiton was advised in February of this year that the US Department of
Justice Anti-Trust Division had also closed its grand jury investigation again,
with no adverse findings.
