DEALINGS IN SECURITIES BY THE BOXER GROUP

In compliance with Schedule 14.9 and paragraphs 3.63 to 3.74 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the following information is provided regarding dealings in securities by the Group. The Group
purchased 560 327 BOX ordinary shares on the open market of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange that will
be utilised for the future settlement of share awards issued under the Boxer Retail Limited Long-term
Incentive Plan.

The ordinary shares were acquired with prior clearance and on a direct beneficial basis. The shares will be
held in treasury until such time that the shares have vested under the rules of the Long-term Incentive
Plan. The total transaction value amounted to R35 727 951.18.

The daily high, low and volume-weighted average price ("VWAP") for the various transactions effected by
the Group were:
