ANNOUNCEMENT IN TERMS OF SECTION 122 (1) and (3) of the COMPANIES ACT

In accordance with section 122(3) (b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008 (“the Act”) and section 3.83(b)
of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that Alviva has received formal
notification in the prescribed form from Old Mutual Limited (“Old Mutual”) that the beneficial interest in
the securities of the Company held by Old Mutual has decreased to 0%.

As required in terms of section 122(3) (a) of the Act, the Company has filed the required notice with the
Takeover Regulation Panel.
