BHP BILLITON PRICES US$3.0 BILLION BOND
BHP Billiton announced today that it has priced a three tranche Global Bond
under its debt shelf registration statement, which has been previously filed
with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The Global Bond comprises US$1,000 million 1.125% Senior Notes due 2014, US$750
million 1.875% Senior Notes due 2016, and US$1,250 million 3.250% Senior Notes
due 2021.
The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including the
retirement of commercial paper.
