JOINT FINALISATION ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement dated 9 September 2011
wherein they were advised that all conditions precedent to the Scheme have been
fulfilled.
As detailed in the circular sent to Merchant shareholders on 1 August 2011, the
salient dates and times relating to the Scheme remain the same and are as
follows:

Last day to trade Merchant shares on the JSE in order Friday, 11 November
to be recorded in the register to receive the scheme
consideration on
Suspension of listing on the JSE of Merchant shares at Monday, 14 November
commencement of trading on
Scheme consideration record date, being the date on Friday, 18 November
which scheme participants must be recorded in the
register to receive the scheme consideration, by close
of trading on
Operative date of the scheme on Monday, 21 November
Scheme consideration to be paid/posted to certificated Monday, 21 November
scheme participants (if documents of title are
received on or prior to 12:00 on the scheme

Dematerialised scheme participants to have their Monday, 21 November
