APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR                                                         
In terms of Rules 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders   
are advised that Mrs Daphne Mashile-Nkosi has been appointed to the board of    
Pinnacle as an independent non-executive director and the new chairperson of the
board with effect from Thursday, 18 August 2011.                                
Throughout her life Daphne Mashile-Nkosi has been passionate about addressing   
the inequalities faced by women throughout South Africa. It is this passion that
drives her in business today.  In August 2005 her consortium won a license to   
mine manganese in the Northern Cape.  Nineteen companies applied as equity      
partners and through a rigorous selection process, ArcelorMittal was chosen as a
50% partner for R4.2 billion.                                                   
Mrs Mashile-Nkosi serves as Chairperson of Bakhazi-Banalima (Pty) Ltd, Kalahari 
Resources (Pty) Ltd, Kalagadi Manganese, Lesedi Drilling and Mining (Pty) Ltd   
and the Mpumalanga Gaming Board. She also serves as deputy chairperson and      
trustee of the Women`s Development Bank Trust, where she was a founding member  
and a development officer for WDB Micro Finance. She has served as a non-       
executive independent director of Heritage Collection Holdings Ltd. since May   
2006 and at Metmar Limited since 8 May 2006.  Mrs Mashile-Nkosi is also a       
founding member, shareholder and director of Temoso Technologies.               
Mrs Mashile-Nkosi serves as a Director of various Eyesizwe group companies,     
Women`s Development Bank Investment Holdings (Pty) Limited and hold shares at   
Cellsaf. She also serves as a Trustee of the FirstRand Empowerment Trust.       
Daphne Mashile-Nkosi is an inspiration to women throughout the world and through
her dedication and commitment to South Africa, she has seen the creation of 30  
000 jobs, empowered other women in the business sector and continues to inspire 
all those that work with her.  She has thrived in the male dominated mining     
sector and will go down in history as the mother of the largest mining venture  
of its kind in the last 30 years.
