BHP BILLITON ANNOUNCES NEW DIAMONDS AND SPECIALTY PRODUCTS PRESIDENT
BHP Billiton announced today the appointment of Graham Kerr as President of
its Diamonds and Specialty Products Customer Sector Group. Mr Kerr will be
based in London and will replace Alberto Calderon who has been appointed to
the role of Group Executive and Chief Commercial Officer.
Mr Kerr joined the Group in 1994 and has held a variety of roles in
operations, corporate and finance. Most recently, he held the position of
Chief Financial Officer for the Stainless Steel Materials Customer Sector
Group. Mr Kerr has experience across a range of commodities and previously
has held the role of Vice-President Finance for BHP Billiton Diamonds Inc.
Group Executive & Chief Commercial Officer Alberto Calderon said Mr Kerr`s
broad experience positioned him well to lead the Diamonds and Specialty
Products business through its next phase.
The appointment will be effective on 9 October 2007.

Graham was born in Fremantle, Western Australia. He holds a Business degree
from the Edith Cowan University (Australia) and a CPA from Deakin University
(Australia).
He has been appointed President of Diamonds & Specialty Products effective 9
October 2007. Graham has extensive experience in the metals and mining
industry and prior to this appointment was Chief Financial Officer of
Stainless Steel Materials. He was appointed to this role in April 2006.
Prior to rejoining BHP Billiton, Graham was General Manager Commercial for
Iluka Resources Ltd, based in Perth, Australia. His previous positions with
BHP Billiton include Vice President Finance - BHP Billiton Diamonds (Canada),
Finance Director - BHP Billiton Ekati (Canada).
Graham first joined BHP Billiton in January 1994 working in various roles
including Corporate, Treasury and Operations.
Graham is married with four children. He and his family live in Perth,
Australia.
