Nature of Business
Acucap is a Property Loan Stock company ('PLS') that was formed in 2001 and listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange ('JSE') in March 2002, and is governed by the Companies Act of 2008. As at 31 March 2014, its capital structure comprised a variable rate debenture (governed by a debenture trust deed) linked to a share, together comprising a linked unit ('units'). The net income of the fund is distributed in full every six months to linked unitholders in Acucap. Unitholders pay tax on the distribution received according to their individual tax status
