    Billiton to focus on rare metals
    Billiton has bought out the minority interests in a number of its subsidiaries, allowing it to refocus and save $20m before tax per annum. It will give up greenfields exploration and focus on forming joint ventures or partnerships with an eye to acquiring metals that are in short supply.
