Sasol to buy electronically Sasol announced that it would acquire its supplies electronically by the end of the second quarter of this year. The company is to use US company Commerce One's e-procurement solution to buy the supplies which could include anything from stationary to raw materials. Sasol further endorsed Commerce One by taking an undisclosed equity stake in the local operation. The stake may be increased depending on performance. Sasol also intends to market some of its own product range to more than 70 countries using the Commerce One solution. It expects significant cost benefits and a return on investment in the future.

Sasol provides fuel to Zimbabwe Sasol and the Zimbabwean Government have signed a deal, where Sasol will provide more than 520 000 litres of motor fuel to help with the acute energy shortage over the past three months.
