It is with deep sadness that the board of directors of AYO (“the Board”) announces the passing of
Advocate Wallace Mgoqi, AYO’s Independent Non-Executive Chairman, on 3 April 2023.
Advocate Wallace Mgoqi, who joined the Board in 2018, was a pioneer of AYO’s broad-based black
economic empowerment mandate to transform the South African ICT sector. AYO is grateful for
Advocate Mgoqi’s contribution over the past five years to its Board, the Company and its employees.
The Board extends their condolences to his wife Dolly, his children and grandchildren and expresses their
deepest sympathies to the Mgoqi family during this difficult time.
