Sasol -- release of results and AGM
Sasol's annual report, containing its financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2007, prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), has been issued and will be posted on the Sasol website at www.sasol.com in due course. An abridged report will not be published as the information previously published in the provisional report is unchanged. The annual general meeting of members of Sasol will be held at 09:00 on 30 November 2007 in the Sasol Limited Auditorium, 1 Sturdee Avenue, Rosebank, Johannesburg, South Africa to transact the business stated in the notice of the annual general meeting. A further announcement will be made as to when Sasol's annual financial statements on Form 20-F will be finalised and filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. This is anticipated to be during the third week of November 2007.

Sasol to inject USD250 million into gas project
Business Day noted that Sasol would invest more than USD250 million over the next two years to grow its natural gas production projects in southern Mozambique. The expansion would lead to a doubling of the company's gas production and would be ready by 2010. Sasol owns 85% of the project.

Coal miners back at work
After a twelve day strike, coal miners at Sasol's Secunda operations had agreed to return to work, according to Business Report. Sasol did not divulge the terms of the settlement, but said that it was mutually agreed to end the industrial dispute with immediate effect.

Sasol's fuel output still unaffected by strike
A third of Sasol's coal miners were still striking over pay, according to Business Report. Friday, 19 October 2007, was the sixth day of the strike as the parties tried to reach a settlement. However, Sasol spokesperson Johann van Rheede said that fuel production was unaffected, as the company had sufficient stockpiles available.

Sasol's new reactor to increase output
According to Business Report, Sasol has ordered a reactor to increase its synthetic fuels output to 180 000 barrels per day by 2015. Sasol did not reveal how much the reactor would cost.

Sasol says coal miners still on strike
Moneyweb reported Sasol as saying that a pay strike by about 2 000 workers at five South African coal mines had entered a third day. A company spokesperson said that the mines are producing at a lower-than-normal rate.

Sasol -- sale of 20% in mining subsidiary
Sasol Mining, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Sasol, announced the formation of a black-women controlled coal mining company called Ixia Coal (Pty) Ltd. In a transaction valued at almost R1.9 billion, Ixia Coal will acquire 20% of Sasol Mining’s shareholding through the issue of new shares. Ixia Coal is a venture with Women Investment Portfolio Holdings Ltd (WIPHOLD) and Mining Women Investments (Pty) Ltd (Mining Women Investments), a newly established company comprising women drawn from the areas where Sasol Mining has operations and coal reserves.

Sasol -- repurchase programme reaches 3%
Shareholders are advised that Sasol has through a wholly-owned subsidiary, Sasol Investment Company (Pty) Ltd purchased 3% of its own shares on the open market of the JSE, in accordance with the general authority granted by its shareholders at its annual general meeting held on 23 November 2006.
