Sasol - Gas from Mozambique expected by mid Feb 04 Sasol announced that the first gas would be pumped along its new pipeline from Mozambique to Secunda during Feb 04. The group said that it would initially build up to a gas flow of 80 gigajoules a year -- equivalent to the energy production from two coal mines. The gas flow could be boosted to 120 gigajoules a year with further expansion to 240 gigajoules a year.

Sasol announces fuel supply agreements As previously advised, the termination on 31 Dec 03 of the Supply and Blue Pump Agreements which existed between Sasol and the other oil companies enabled a new dispensation for liquid fuels wholesaling and retailing. Sasol has reached agreement on arrangements for the supply of fuels to the other oil companies operating in South Africa, whilst on the retail front Sasol's merger with Exel Petroleum and the opening of the first Sasol branded Retail Convenience Centres heralds Sasol's full entry into the retail market.
