Nature of Business
Grit Real Estate Income Group ('Grit' or 'the Company'), is a multi-listed real estate income group operating in carefully selected African countries and is currently listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange ('LSE'), the Main Board of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange Limited ('JSE') and the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius Limited ('SEM'). Grit has a robust property portfolio with diversification across sectors and geography, backed by comprehensive risk mitigation policies and procedures. The Company optimises its structural investments, underpinned by solid property fundamentals, to achieve compelling US Dollar returns. Its ability to sustain distribution is supported by predominantly US Dollar and EURO-denominated long-term leases with blue chip multinational tenants, eliminating currency risk and delivering strong sustainable income. Since listing on the JSE in 2014, Grit has grown its property portfolio from USD140 million to over USD800 million and has successfully delivered eleven consecutive dividend distributions in line with Company guidance. Grit is a constituent of the SEM-10 index, the S&P Africa Frontier (Global) index as well as an underlying constituent of the JSE-listed Cloud Atlas AMI series BIG 50 ex-SA ETF.
